The William Harding School Day

The school day at William Harding is carefully designed to ensure that our curriculum matches our pupils needs. As WH is a very large primary school, we operate a staggered school day in terms of start times, play/lunch times and end times, in order to support our pupils accessibility and logistical planning.

We ensure a full broad and balanced knowledge curriculum is followed and it is planned to ensure that pupils develop a subject based love of learning. We aim to ensure pupils also have the knowledge and skills needed to live successful within the community and wider world.

During and following COVID times, the timetable has been adapted to suit the changing needs of pupils, with an increased and additional focus on well being and keeping mentally well. We have also ensured that COVID catch up is tailored to support pupils across all year groups.
